Introduction

The organizational structure is designed to limit the visibility of employees in the office part ST-Mobi.com .
Only the employee who is higher up the organizational structure tree can see information about lower-level employees.

Description, principle of work and construction of the organizational structure

On the left side of the page there is a list of employees, which includes office and mobile employees of the company.
Mobile employees differ from office employees by having the route number in parentheses after the full name.
If necessary, the right employee can be found using the search bar.

Appointment of the head of the company

In the window of working with the organizational structure, you need to select an employee from the list on the left and use dragging to assign him to the place of the head (director).

The employee specified as the director can be replaced or his deputy can be added.
To replace an employee in the director's place, you need to select another employee and drag him to the specified place.

Appointment of deputies

When the manager is replaced, the employees will simply switch places - the new one will be in the director's position, the previous one will remain only in the general list on the left.
When appointing a deputy, a choice will be offered between an indefinite appointment or an indication of the period of activity of the deputy.

After the date of temporary replacement of the head expires, the deputy will be excluded from this position in the organizational structure.

Renaming a position

Both the leading position of the organizational structure and the rest, if necessary, can be renamed using the button .
Click it once, enter the updated item name, and click it again to apply the changes.

Adding organizational structure elements

Adding a new element to the organizational structure is done using the + button under the existing position.
After clicking it, you will be offered a choice of the type of element to be created:

  • Position,
  • Team.

Position

A position is a separate position, usually leading a department or a group of employees.
It can either not have, or have one or more deputies with a limited validity period or without restrictions.
Initially, the highest position of the head of the company already exists in the organizational structure, it was considered above.

An organizational structure position can have subordinate positions or teams, and it can only be occupied by an office employee.

Team

A team is a group of mobile employees united by a common department or by some other logic at your discretion.
It may include a mobile supervisor who will have access to the data of his subordinate employees in the mobile application.

An organizational structure team can only be a subordinate element of a higher position, and it can only contain mobile employees.

Appointment of employees

After adding a position or team to the organizational structure, you need to add employees.
There can be only one employee in a position, the number of deputies in the position, supervisors and employees in the team is unlimited.

Those employees who are already included in the organizational structure are marked with a man icon, and the number of teams in which the employee is involved is indicated next to it.

One office employee can occupy only one position.
If you try to add an employee to a new position who has already been assigned to an existing position, the system will not allow you to do this with an appropriate warning. 
This restriction does not apply to the appointment of employees as deputies in positions - one employee can be a deputy in several positions at the same time.
Mobile employees can freely participate in an unlimited number of teams.

The elements of the organizational structure can be moved relative to each other.
To do this, dragging an element block by a character is used .
Hover the mouse over it, hold down the left button and move the element block to the element of the organizational structure to which the moved element should be subordinate.

To delete the elements of the organizational structure, use the trash button .
Note that if you delete an element that has any positions or commands subordinate to it, they will also be deleted.

The compiled organizational structure can serve as a visualization of the company structure.
In the form of a hierarchy, you can visualize all the divisions of the company.

Using of the organizational structure also affects access to data for office employees in the service.

So, for example, an employee and his deputies from the position of Head of Sales agents will see all the information (documents, reports, territories, visit plans) only for employees subordinate to them (i.e. for members of the Sales Team team).
They will not see information about employees of other teams.

In order to activate the restrictions of the organizational structure, the Enable organizational structure scopes setting in the menu is used Settings > Default Values.

Similarly, supervisors of field staff teams will be able to work in ST-Mobile Trade only with those employees who are subordinate to them.

Saving changes

Changes in the organizational structure are saved using the corresponding button in the upper right corner of the page.
If you have made some changes, but have not saved them yet, a notification will be displayed at the bottom of the page:
