Introduction

Chains – a custom grouping of retail outlets.
The functionality allows you to independently create national and regional chains, add outlets to them, as well as filter data by chains in reports.
This functionality is useful for those companies that serve chains of clients.

The appearance of the directory

By default, the Chains directory looks like this:

When you click on the arrow  opposite the selected national chain (1), you can see the entire list of regional chains (2) that are currently part of it.

Additional features

Contextual search by network name.

Chain Creating

To create a new network, click on  at the top of the window.
In the modal window that opens, select the type of network that you want to create: national or regional, and set its name.

Chains have nesting — regional chains are included in national ones.
First of all, it is necessary to create a national chain, otherwise it will not be possible to create a regional chain.
Deleted chains can be seen by clicking the Show deleted records button at the top of the page - this will display a list of all deleted chains.
When creating a regional chain, you will need to specify its parent national network:

Chain Editing

To edit the chain, click on the pencil symbol  to the left of the chain name.
The national ones can only be renamed, the regional ones can be renamed and the parent national chain can be changed.

Chain deleting

To delete chain, click on  to the left of the name.

In order to add a Point of Sale to the chain, you need to go to the Outlets card by clicking on .

In the Outlets card, on the Main tab, click on the Belongs to the chain item would open a window with a list of existing chains.
It marks the desired chain and the selection is confirmed by the Select button.
After that, the changes to the Point of Sale are applied after clicking Save.

Grouping

Retail Outlets can be grouped by chains in the Chains tab of the Outlets directory.
You can select both all Outlets within one national chain, and Outlets within a separate regional chain, the list of which can be seen by clicking on the button  in the corresponding line.
