Introduction
Article describes setup of printing with ST-Mobile Trade in Infrastructure mode Access Point.
In our example, following equipment were used:
- Epson LX-350 Matrix Printer;
- TP-Link TL-WPS510U Wireless Print Server
- Mobile Device running Android 4.0.4.
- PC with Windows 7 preinstalled.

- Print settings on other devices may differ from those listed below.
Configuring Mobile Device
To print from ST-Mobile Trade, it is necessary to switch mobile device to Wi-Fi Access Point operation mode.
- Open mobile device settings.
- In Wireless Connections and Networks section, click More…
- Choose Modem mode and portable access point.
- Set flag Portable access point.
- In dialog box that appears, click Yes.
- Wi-Fi is automatically turned on on the mobile device.
Message will appear in notification area: USB modem or Wi-Fi access point is active. - Click Access settings, if you need to configure network name, security standard, and password.
- Make the necessary changes, then click Save.
Mobile device is ready to print!
Now you need to configure print server itself.
Configuring Print Server
Wireless router is the center of the wireless network, each of the nodes connects to the TL-WPS510U via a wireless router.
- Local area network: 192.168.1.0 (ip address) / 255.255.255.0 (subnet mask),
- TL-WPS510U IP address: 192.168.1.10 (should be like this).
During initial setup, you need to change IP address of computer's wireless adapter.
It is necessary that IP address of laptop wireless adapter is in same subnet with print server.
- Go to wireless adapter settings.
- Set flag Use the following IP address.
- Specify following values:
- Connect the printer to the TL-WPS510U.
Print server will start working in Ad-Hoc mode with default network name (SSID): WLAN-PS. - Start searching for Wi-Fi networks.
- Select WLAN-PS network.
- In address bar of browser (it is recommended to use Internet Explorer), specify IP address of TL-WPS510U: 192.168.1.10
- Web utility for configuring print server opens.
- Go to Setup > TCP / IP
- Change the IP address of the print server to 192.168.1.43
- Then click Save & Restart
- Change IP address of computer's wireless adapter (see paragraphs 1-2) to 192.168.1.11 / 255.255.255.0
- Reconnect to WLAN-PS network in Ad-Hoc mode.
- Log in to TL-WPS510U device Configuration web utility.
- Go to Setup > Wireless
- Configure the wireless network settings according to your wireless network.
In our case: - Click Save & Restart.
TL-WPS510U save data and reboot. - Change IP address of wireless adapter to 192.168.1.x or get an IP address automatically.
- Connect to wireless router using previously saved settings (SSID: AndroidAP).
- Add standard TCP/IP port for printer.
- This completes setup of print server.
Press the keyboard shortcut WIN + R, type cmd to launch command line interface, than type ping 192.168.1.10
If ping works, it means TL-WPS510U works in Infrastructure mode and can communicate with wireless router and local nodes.
Configuring Printer
To work with ST-Mobile Trade, following settings must be set for Epson lx-350 printer:
- Character table — CP1251 (Russian);
- Pitch — 15CPI for standard forms.
Main functions of buttons for default settings mode are described in table:

To switch printer to default settings mode and change default printer settings, follow these steps.
- Before entering default settings mode, you must load A4 or Letter paper, or continuous paper with length of at least 297 mm (11 inches) and width of at least 210 mm (8.27 inches).
- If you use separate sheets, you will need to load new sheet each time after printer outputs printed sheet.
- If you turn off printer before exiting default settings mode, all changes you have made will be canceled and will not be saved.
- Make sure that paper is loaded into printer.
Press buttons Menu (LF/FF and Load/Eject) until the printer gives a single beep.
Result: Printer will switch to default settings mode and print message asking you to select language for default settings menu.
Underlined language is current one.Helpful HintDepending on the model, the choice of language may not be possible.If wrong language is selected, press button Item (Tear Off) until required language is indicated on printout.
Helpful HintChange the language by pressing the button Item (LF/FF) impossible.Press button Set (Load/Eject), to select desired language.
Printer will print message asking you to print all current settings.Helpful HintSelected language is also used in lock setting mode and bidirectional printing setting mode.- To print current settings, click Set.
If you want to skip printing current settings, click Item ↓ or Item ↑.
Result: Printer will print first menu and current menu value. - Using the buttons Item ↓ and Item ↑ select menu items that you want to change.
Press button Set to scroll through values until you find desired setting. After setting required value for selected item, you can continue to change values of other items using buttons Item ↓ and Item ↑.
Or you can exit default settings mode by pressing buttons Menu (LF/FF and Load/Eject).
Helpful HintYou cannot set previous value for setting.
To do this, press Set button until desired value is selected.When you have finished changing settings, click Menu (LF/FF and Load/Eject).
Release the buttons Menu (LF/FF and Load/Eject), when all the indicators light up.
Result: Printer has exited default settings mode. Set values of settings are saved as new default values.
Helpful HintIf you turn off printer before exiting default settings mode, all changes made will be canceled.
Setting up ST-Mobile Trade
In ST-Mobile Trade, go to Home Screen > Settings > Printer
